German Group to Boston and Cape Cod

Lecture during the tour for group on the German migration experience and American history. Harvard Faculty Club, Boston sites, Plymoth Plantation and Mayflower, Cape Cod and Marthas Vineyard

2019, Oct. 6 - 18

Travel: German Group. 1500 Miles through the Midwest

Visits to former German communities inluded Chicago, German Valley IL, Grundy Center IO, Omaha, Hooper and Scribner still known as " Little Oldenburg", Beatrice NE and Monticello IO. Plattdütsch and East-Frisian history and wonderful local hosts along the route.

Lecture: Intern. German Genealogical Conference Sacramento CA

The IGGP  (International German Genealogical Partnerschip ) organized the 2. conference (Minneapolis 2017). Lectures on the migration experience, travel patterns from the age of sail to the age of steam and special interest working groups and discussions.

2019, April 16 - 29

Travel: German Group. The South 

A small group in a large van from Memphis to New Orleans. The Mississippi, the South, the Civil Rights movement, Black History Museum Natchez, bayous and crawfish and a lot of music. Overnight at Oak Alley. German history and great people at Roberts Cove / Lafayette and Gretna / New Orleans.

Travel: German Group to New York: Kohlfahrt nach New York

As in the past years, we attended the annual Cale Dinner of the German Clubs of greater New York and enjoyed a wonderful winter week in the BIg Apple. King and Queen of Cale are Jürgen Dehlwes from Lilienthal /Bremen whos great-uncle ran a deli at Fulton Street Brooklyn in the 1950ties and Dr. Annemarie Jensen from Flensburg a welknown expert for the lowgerman language in Northern Germany .
